Time to sew

Posted on January 27th, 2010

I love spending time in my sewing room when it’s cold outside (and yes…it’s been cold even

in the south this winter). I’ll be making lots of new Bandana Bags in anticipation of craft

show season. My first show will be in March. I’ll post more information when I have it.

Experimenting

I wanted some bandana themed jewelry to wear at craft shows so I worked up some Bandana Beads. I may make some up to sell in the future. I think they’re fun and a nice casual accent with a t-shirt or polo.

Red, White and Blue for you

It’s HOT out there. With Independence Day on the horizon I thought red, white and blue would punch up the inventory. They’ll add a splash to any summer outfit and be a hit at the fireworks on the 4th of July.bandana-bags-487bandana-bags-492

I belong to an online club devoted to collecting vintage linens, mainly tablecloths from the 1930’s-1950’s. My love of pretty fabrics and patterns attracted me to this area of collecting and to the sewing I do to make these handbags. If you love these items too you’ll love the Vintage Tablecloth Lover’s Club.

Easter Break

Posted on April 9th, 2009

Hello, I’ve been taking a little break from the sewing machine this week . I’m catching up on yard work and house cleaning, all those tasks that don’t disappeare when I’m having fun sewing and selling. I hope the weather is nice  and springy where you are. It’s beautiful here, 70’s and sunny all day and a beautiful full moon at night.  The spring peepers are peeping and the cats don’t want to come in at night.  I have a new order of bandanas coming today and I have a few orders to fill so I’m itching to get started on these projects. I wish all of you who celebrate a Happy Easter and hope your spring wardrobe requires a new Bandana Bag.

Blessing of the Fleet

We had a fun weekend selling bags in Darien Georgia. The crowds were good  and we met lots of friendly folks at the festival. The weather really tested our canopy and display racks. There were thunderstorms, tornado watches and off shore winds but our booth held up well through it all. It was sunny enough on Sunday to spur some bag buying and get my face sunburned.  I’d go there again and hope for some better weather next year.Bunny and bandana bags Darien Festival Set up to sell
